Republic Day represents the true spirit of the independent India. Military parades, displays of military equipment and the national flag are important symbols on this date. Our school celebrated Republic Day to acknowledge how our nation has an immense feeling of patriotism. It started with National Anthem to remember our great soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our nation. Our respected principal sir has addressed the students with his powerful and motivated speech. The Indira House has organized the function with speeches in various languages. The students sang patriotic songs and showed up mesmerizing dances. They gave tribute to our freedom fighters by offering garland to them.
Inter-house Quiz competition
An Inter-house Quiz competition was planned for the assembly. The Quiz began with the introduction of the quizmaster and contestants from each house-team. The rules of the inter-house quiz competition were announced. Miss Sana Ma’am conducted the quiz in a very interactive way and the teams participated with great enthusiasm. They skillfully answered the questions asked. Though some of the questions were very tricky, the teams tried to answer them with confidence. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing, exciting and made the audience go ‘Aah!’ and clap when the teams answered correctly. The audience also got a chance to participate every time the teams answered incorrectly.
Every round was a mixed bag with questions from history, sports, books, languages, vocabulary and science. The final round, the Rapid-fire round gave the teams a chance to catch up with leaders and put-up a tough fight. The competition ensured that the teams minutely read every detail in the newspapers of the week gone by.
